Not really, Ordered some smaller Comp centre caps which I'm in the process of painting up. Will be removing the Turbo badge and polishing it when I'm not busy.

He did until he blew the engine up. I'll be aiming for 12's.

Considering I'm planning on spending £10k on the block and head alone I reckon I've a good chance. No corners cut here!

When the engine is good enough they rest of the car falls apart.
I have an old friend who has spent thousands in pursuit of faster quarters, each time he upgrades something, something else lets go!

That goes without saying. I'm confident this car will be pulling 12's

I agree with planetc
You will need to cut more Weight out of the car. A good transmission set up. 6speed in an f16 box 3grand. that will be a good start

You said Graham was pulling 13 dead with under 400bhp. I'll be running 500bhp+ with suitable gearbox and clutch setup so mid to high 12's should be doable.
What spec is your brother running?

I think allot of it will also be down to the driver once your at that sort of power. Some swift gear changes and a perfect start will be needed i reckon.

I take it its gonna have launch control terry? Should be built into the ecu shudn't it?

Bigron has it in his Corsa, Something I'll be looking into for sure. I'm sure the ECU I go for will have the capability.

my brother does 13.5 down pod with 380bhp quaiffe box. its a pig of a car though at 1380 kgs. It has the full interior.
His isn't built as a drag car. Graham always said he had enough power to get into 12's but it's the wheel spinning that kills it.

We'll see what happens then. Graham was running standard loom and chipped ECU. I'm going for a complete new engine loom and ECU. Like Dan has mentioned launch control will help also.

Tony's problem was wheel spin, when he cracked that it became gearboxes so he switched, then started ripping spring mounts out of the body so he went to a four link set up. Then he broke the axle so went mustang, now he has started pulling bits of the mounts out of the body again.

That's the fun of it though. Once it's built I'm going to run it to it's max to find out it's peak performance then wind it down to a more drivable car.
