My GSI'S replacement

not quite as stunning as turbodans
but i think its pretty good seems just as quick as the gsi if not quicker and its more or less standard spent a ton on it already but has good potenial
loads of kit to has the worlds most stupid seats! half leather(great) but the other half is cloth white they get in a real state

I like it, looks cool in red.
Not sure on the gauge thing in the vent though, i'd be moving that somewhere else.
What other plans have you got for it?

yeah pleased with the red was looking at silver but the mileage of this one decided it for me.
took me ages to get that gauge in thier properly and i forgot to set about blocking the vent so the hot air melted the glue and it fell out
tidy up the engine bay total mess
have smic to fit. turbo back zhaust(not loud) then on with a map should see 240-250bhp hopefully
probably lower it aswell
Re: My GSI'S replacement
the gauge does just about every thing you can think ofvauxtillidie wrote:I quite like the gauge in the vent

Re: My GSI'S replacement
Personally, I don't mind the Octavias, I think they are decent enough, ( I try to think of them without the poxy German bits) but I sure as hell wouldn't give up a Cavalier for one, especially a GSi.

Re: My GSI'S replacement
Good to finally see some pics of it....
Dont mind the VRS but no where near as cool as a Cav Gsi, although probably more reliable..
Nearly bought a lower spec Octavia a few years back as based on the passat and anything VAG you know its going to be built well, unlike Vauxhall who let chimps build their wiring looms..
Few choice mods and it will look pretty good I reckon but mate, the white seat inserts etc..Nothing but hassle!!!

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....
Re: My GSI'S replacement
cheers guys it is a well built piece of kit
the time had come for a change i was bored of the old feel, and never had newish style car or a turbo so this fit the bill bang on!
having said that i do miss it BIG time! the noise the kick in the nuts the grip the attention
but as a daily drive was just abit to much hassle,to be fair never broke down even when it ran like a total dog still flew
Octavia already given me fault codes, wouldn't warm up oil leak and briefly lost all power on the motorway so already had more trouble than the cav oh and the bloody sunroof leaked ruining my well designed seats further
overall i feel its good move but has to be a cav turbo next
