I guess it's not as quick as the subaru.

No, its quick but in a race the subaru would of beat it all day long.

The 4x4 is really good though, feels very solid

Nice new ride squire. Are the wheels aftermarket? Not sure about those but otherwise looks quite tidy. And there I was thinking another Cav was on the cards!

Did they run out of 'S' digits when making the reg plates? Looks like upside down '2's! :scratch

Yeah there aftermarket, i wasnt convinced with them at first but theyve grown on me. Going to get some spacers on it they will sit much nicer then especially at the back.

And yes a cav was on the cards, i looked everywhere for one and none anywhere. So i buy the s3 and next day loads of turbos forsale!! Typical

Strangely enough I saw an S3 on the way home last night on EXACTLY the same set of wheels as yours. Apart from the front offside wheel which was a space saver haha, otherwise identical. Trendsetter!

Done the first mod to it today. The rear dogbone mount bush felt like it had seen better days and sure enough it looked like it had never been touched.

I stripped it off and also managed to snap the head off one of the bolts so i managed to get that out after abit more work.

All stripped off and took apart:

The new polybush bought from awesome gti this morning as there not far from me, obviosely the red ones in the pic. These are actually for a diesel car as apparently they use a slightly softer compound and so it has abit more give in it than the yellow bushes they sell.

You can really see the differance in shape and size of the old bushes compared to the new ones!

All rebuilt and cleaned up the mount:

And back on:

It drives a thousand times smoother now, hardly any engine movement at all and certanly no gearstick movement now.

I also refitted the drivers doorcard properly as someone had took it off and not hooked it back onto the window seal properly and so it was actually rubbing the dashboard when the door was shut and so making a nice creaking noise as you drove. So that got refitted properly and ALL the screws everywhere across the dashboard tightened up properly, its amazing the differance it makes when there all tight.

Doing the trackday in it tommorow so if theres any issues on the car im sure they will pop up tommorow at some point!
