My new Motor

Post by TurboDan »

Well the impreza has been sold and i have bought another car:

Image

Its a 2000 Audi S3, 4x4, mapped by jabbasport to 277bhp and 288lbft tourque. It has a cobra custom cat back exhaust system, forge 008 recirc valve, K&N Enclosed filter.

Some more pics:

The private plate came with it which is pretty good. The engines got plenty of room for more tuning so i'll be looking into that. Its not concourse but it is in really good condition, 110,000 miles on it, everythings works mint and its quick.

I bought it especially for andrei........

According to jabbasport website these are stage 2 figures, I reckon it would benefit from a decent exhaust including sports cat and probably inter cooler, then there's turbo upgrades as you mentioned

I went out to a guy in London a few years back who had one, not very old. He had hit a speed hump a bit (lot) too hard, split the sump AND the gearbox casing AND drove on until the engine destroyed itself from the lack of oil....twonk

This prefacelift model is 207bhp as standard, only some facelift ones were 225 but not all of them.

Its got the standard cats/downpipes etc.. then a custom exhaust from the cat back so i reckon removing them would make a nice improvement.

It has 2 small intercoolers either side yeah so your right a front mount would be much better (on the cards).
And yes theres 2 rolling road printouts from the remap at jabbasport for the power figures so there not made up(unless jabbasport has a crap rolling road).

Definately gonna be lookin at more power at some point. I have thought about a bigger turbo but that wont be for a long time yet. Its fine for now.

As for the "Oh no not an audi..." Well its 4wd, 6 speed, Cheap tax(compared to the scooby), and haveing just been out on a spirited drive and its still showing 26mpg, can't go wrong!

I'm sure it's perfectly adequate.

I doubt it has any soul however.

Yeah i know what you mean, ill get it on the rollers again one day and see what it is.

Whats TIP?

Plans i have in my head that i want to do:

Spacers on the wheels
FMIC
Silicone intake hose
Uprated fuel pump
Bigger turbo
New full exhaust system
Facelift center console upgrade
Heated seats

But will see what happens. It does handle really well, its got Eibach Pro street coilovers on it.
