my winter hack

Post by gazza1701-a »

Picked this 1.8 celica up a few weeks ago, 91k on the clock, rust free, as new tyres, service history, it was needing a new clutch and a MOT, had only failed on a slight blow on the exhaust and wiper blades, so i welded up the blow, threw on some wipers, and fitted a clutch myself, now has 12months mot, a non slipping clutch and a heater far far better than my cav. My run to work in the mornings will be toasty this winter!
what are you lot driving over the winter months?

Looks nice mate, that's my favorite model of the Celica. I don't know which Cavalier I'll be driving, whichever is taxed + MOT'd I guess....
Previous:
China Blue 1989 Vauxhall Cavalier L 18SV
Kings Blue 1992 Vauxhall Cavalier LSi Auto C18NZ
Smoke Grey 1994 Vauxhall Cavalier V6 C25XE

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

The missus round the bend! :p

Turbo #1 remains taxed for the winter (in addition to the Saab) due to its early break from hibernation this year. I'll probably use it - albeit sparingly - if I need to, while Mrs Humbucker hauls herself to work and back in the Swede.

Nice work on the Celica. I'd love an ST185 GT-Four RC. Great cars. Get yourself some bigger wheels and a lowering kit ;)
