Now building a Dolomite Sprint with 2.2 Omega 16v and autobox as a cruiser to compliment the track car!

Love it. Set up looks spot on on the corners.
I did Castle Coombe before they put the chicane in - nice circuit.

I had a Toledo as my first car and a dolomite as my 2nd car! Always wanted to do something similar.

Inside shot, dash is from a Nova SR, Interior is pretty basic, 2 seats and not much else!

I've kept the stock injection system, which was ludicrously easy to plumb in, but it has Courtenaysport head and a fast road cam, still only about 135 bhp, but in 760 kilos of car, it goes pretty well! I've put a lot of effort into making it handle and stop well, in my opinion, being able to carry a lot of speed through the corners is better in the real world than a ridiculous amount of power you can't put down!

Thanks for the flattering comment on the cornering stance, the blue Dolly Sprint behind me in the 2nd pic is flatter - but that is a full house classic touring car racer with over 220 brake on tap and all the works goodies, man is it quick!

Your Toldeo has a better cornering stance than a lot of so called race cars I've seen on forums! It looks a great toy to blast round tracks!

Thanks Dave, it's a real hoot to drive, on track or street and upsets the hell out of the boy racers round here, though mostly they know better than to try it now!

Love what you've done with it
Can't help smiling, as it reminds me of whizzing around the place in the passenger seat of my brother's white Sprint - back when we were mischievous young scamps..

Unfortunately, it went the way alot of those old Triumphs did, absolutely shot to sh*t with rust. Great fun though, my bro boasted a ton twenty in it four up and I do remember seeing off RS2000 Mk IIs in it.

I was lucky with the Toledo, it had been Ziebarted from new so wasn't too bad! Even so, I have now replaced both sills, fitted new GRP front wings and front panel (the O/C supplies these) and rebuilt both rear wheel arches plus NOS bootlid and a NOS passenger doorskin.
My Sprint is in much worse shape ATM but a combination of better panel availability and rapidly rising prices for good cars (a sound Sprint can now make £7.5k) makes it a viable proposition! Not that i'm ever likely to sell it!

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....
