I used to use ecat for finding part numbers but access was denied a while back so I started to use 7zap?.
Nowhere near as good but better than nothing!
I used either/both for the Cavalier and my Astra (MK4)
Now I don't seem to be able to find part numbers at all, my latest requirement is a air con condenser for the Astra.
Any idea where it I might find it?

Re: Part number
I know what you mean, losing ecat was a shock.
I used 7zap, nemigaparts and a couple of others that were having permissions running out resulting in broken links.
I thought I was onto a good one tonight when I found this
https://www.online-parts.co.uk/oem-cata ... _1918.html
You have to create a free account. If you try it, make the vat reg box blank otherwise you'll have to put in your password twice again
I'm undecided on it's usefulness. Random parts I looked for were out of stock and the descriptions complicated.
It's worth a go.
The two I look to for now are
http://www.catcar.info/opel/?lang=en&l= ... dD09MTA%3D
Pretty good.
https://webautocats.com/epc/vauxhall/
Better.
As far as I know, though I've not given up, the only available torrent file is missing the startup exe

Re: Part number
For car parts, I use catcar.info.
But it is a lot more messy and dificult to navigate than the old ecat24 site.
I am not sure if it is still available via torrent or other format, but I use the original Vauxhall software called EPC.
(Electronic Parts Catalogue).
I have version 3, and James has version 4.
Version 3 is obviously older, and so has listings for most 80s and 90s cars.
It is also old enough to be able to search for some 90s VIN or registration numbers.
Between that, Vauxhall's original TIS2000
(Technical Info System) and the Haynes manual in pdf format,
there is enough information to hand, to make it look like I know what I am talking about.
I also have all the follwing in electronic (pdf) format -
C20LET workshop manual.
V6 Calibra tuning manual
Vauxhall V6 Engine (college) Course.
Haynes manuals for Astra 2, Kadett-E, Vectra-B and Omega-B.
Getting back on topic.
The main sites for part numbers are-
Catcar.info
Nemigparts
7zap,
and oemcats.
None are anywhere near as good as the old ecat24
Cat car is quite good for my VW type2 1979 to 1992 parts though...
