My Old V8

Post by planetc »

Found a photo of the tuned 3.5 I used to go to Santa Pod with. This had straight through pipes with no front silencers and sounded fantastic....

Nice one fella. Good to see another one. At least a pic anyway. Would like to hear that one rev up.

nice, always had a soft spot for the later capris. the brooklands and the 2.8i's. rumoured to be horrendous rustbuckets, although my first car was a D-reg Sierra and that needed constant attention on the bodywork...

Was running two Capris, the V8 and my Brookie, and I had to choose between them 'cos I couldn't afford to keep both. The Brookie I had recently spent shitloads of money on and was the better long term keeper. The V8 stood to return a good profit and when I sold it I got more than twice what I paid for it.
