Re: New toy
That's nice dude I'm a fan of the old Carltons. I like the Mk1 models too.
An estate as well, more room for stuff, more practicality Looks like it's got good alloys. What trim is it?
Looks like it's high up in the range, because of the black leather interior. Looking good mate.
Andrei.

"No the temperature gauge doesn't work........
we've driven 150 miles today........
the heater went cold last Thursday........
they check the level when it's serviced don't they?"

Love the Carltons... (Or Omega-A for the mainland Europeans amongst us)
The in-line engine is a pig to get at the distributor etc rammed right up against the bulk-head
I understand the V6 Carlton engines were considered bullet proof.
As said above, a really nice tidy example of a rarer model - well found you lucky bugger.

Re: New toy
there was a guy that did it with a senator a while back, i remember seeing it at billing. was a bit odd, lotus carlton senator, in navy blue, but definitely one of a kind.
Re: New toy
aye i spotted it at Billing too, couldnt stop drooling over it and the rest of the lotus carltons. The vodc stand was across the way from the abs entrance, so had the pleasure of seeing them all roll in yum yum

Re: New toy
i was there with one of my omegas. abs have a good spot at billing. there was an 'Opel Omega 500 EVO' or two there too, even rarer than the carlton. basically irmscher's answer to the lotus carlton. you should stick some evo bits on your estate hahaha!
Re: New toy
I really didnt like the evo version especially the spoiler.
I was with the bloke with the delorian lol

Re: New toy
the spoiler is definitely a bit 'lego' but i like the rest of it, the front bumper is better. the bodykit on the lotus carlton is pretty ill fitting but theyve managed to polish a turd with the evo a bit.
note the gay caravan indicators fitted to the bumper of the lotus senator thingie due to not having lenses in the wing!
