Hello, right I'm trying to get the best out my cavalier so I have taken out my 2 x twin subwoofers which took all my boot space, now I'm debating what's better steels or my Tsw sleaths, I don't care about the look I just want better fuel economy all help appriciated

Technically lighter alloys with firmer tires would give less rolling resistance as opposed to heavier steel wheels with softer higher profile tires. But depends on driving style mainly.

To start with an auto isn't as economical as a manual.
A 10kg sub isn't going to make much odds, I suggest you try refining your driving technique.

True it's ain't economical than a manual but wouldn't a lighter car be more quicker using less fuel to pull away and not having the extra weight pulling it back

I would bet that the alloys were actually heavier than steelies, they usually are unless there expensive alloys.

Get the duct tape out and tape up all gaps around headlights and panels etc.. keep all windows shut for aero dynamics and slipstream the trucks on the motorway lol.

I've never found the brand of tyre makes any difference to the fuel consumption.

I agree they are TSW so I think they will be heavier than factory steels
