Wheels Opinions

Post by Cavyman_130 »

Hi all, asking for opinions here, I have always been a fanblades but after buying a v6 288mm brake conversion kit last year and finding out they didnt fit what a bummer, and since then iv considered the cesaro/late SRi alloys, so i have done a v.quick shop and tbh i feel the cesaro wheels look better, what you's think?

I personally dont think the 288's are worth the extra work if your having to swap wheels, having driven one i prefer the 256mm pedal feel

If you can find an larger master cylinder to suit (assuming the vec ones will be bigger?) i bet they will be a lot nicer but on the normal cav cylinder there is a bit of travel and they need to be pressed harder than the 256's, but when they do kick in they are better but if your not hammering them just driving normally id keep the 256's

Both sets are 15" as far as i know the only 16" ones are on the 5 stud turbo. I love the late spec wheels, but really think the fanblaldes really suit the preface lift SRi's., I'd also keep the badge on the bonnet mate. Go for the bigger brakes bud!
