stud n nut conversion

has any one fitted the nut n stud conversion onto their cav or any other car?

i fancy a change n something diff from the normal bolt

How about cheese? Much simpler to execute. :D

Apart from the fact that it makes it easier to line up when fitting the wheel I can't really see any point to it?

i got red anodized ones atm

been looking at tuner allen nuts etc

plus 18s are a bugger to keep on the hub when trying to put bolts in etc

Yeah it's easy I'd fit them with some permanent threadlock but other than that no issue

That's fair enough. It's not something I've seen done before but I guess it would depend a lot on what studs are available. With the hubs not being machined for studs the holes would probably need a shouldered stud.

Id perm threalock it rather than standard stuff as you dont want wind it out when your undoing it.

LOCTITE 648 is what id use.

Ive never had a standard wheel bolt or nut round off on me, the allen key bolts on the other hand...

I understand where your coming from, the slightest touches can enhance a cars appearance, especially attention to detail, but I wouldnt like to tempt fate.
