Hi all. My gsi is reving bang on 1000. I have changed
Icv
Temp sensor
Lambda sensor changed
I have checked
Air leaks and all connectors on sensors. I have also done the paper clip test which shows no faults.
Could I please have some ideas what else to check please or if anyone lives in the Middlesex area I could show to. Thank you.

Re: Cav gsi high idle
remove the engine end of your throttle cable then try you might have too much tension on the cable which will hold the butterfly open by removing the cable the icv will be doing its job then if it is that put the cable back on but slightly looser

^that and the tps are good starting points. Also check the wiring for the cts, even inside the black plastic cover as it often has failed insulation.
