c18nz revving
c18nz revving
hi just fitted new cap leads plugs rotor arm but when revving it up high it can sort of cut out until releasing pedal any ideas? and still doesent have quite the full go as i think it should. no fault codes showing. any ideas
Re: c18nz revving
Usually air leak ,check the vacum pipes .Also you said you changed the plugs what plugs did you use
and did you check that they were properly gapped .
Fueling side is the other culpirt. But did the car run fine before you changed the cap, rotor arm , plugs
leads .

Re: c18nz revving
did the same before changing but has improved, as the cap was pitted and plugs were worn down with a massive gap. i used ngk with gaps checked.
no obvious signs of a leak
no obvious signs of a leak
Re: c18nz revving
Try some redex could be fuel problem mate
Re: c18nz revving
i might treat it to a new fuel filter as well, thanks

Re: c18nz revving
Check the hose from the airbox to the injector cover, this is a common failure point.
Also, check the little vaccum pipes from the injector cover to the throttle assembly and airbox (one red, one black if I remember rightly)
Any eml's flashing up?

Re: c18nz revving
It beginning to sound like fuel stavation ,meaning the engine isn't get enough fuel further up the
rev range but okay when idling
Check the fuel fillter, could be blocked
blocked fuel lines ,have you ran it dry
signs of the fuel pump ,playing up
blocked injector, as above use use redex
check these to eliminate them if fuel is getting through and no fault codes then then check that there
is no leaks on the vacum pipes
