gsi goes to stall when 1st started

When I turn the key to start the car, I need to keep the key turned for a couple of seconds before the engine bursts into life, it then nearly dies but just before it does it idles normaly, the car was stood for about 3 months before I bought it, its been chipped and has a cortney power cap and full straight throgh magnex exhaust I also notice black on the tips of the exhaust, I imagine its quite normal (dont notice any smoke) it also feels as though the engine has more to give, do you think changing the sparkplugs and leads and cleaning the dizzy cap/rotor would help? Or could it be something else?

Sorry to sound dull but what is cts?

Just ordered a cts. Hope it sorts it out.

Check plugs as well they can be f"£ked ,the leads and dizzy cap could be needing replaced ,I would of checked these before cts which usually is cover in crap
or knocked off which easy done

Well I have changed the cts and hasnt made much difference, the only difference its made is leaving a nice blister on the end of my thumb (stupid manifold) next thing to try is plugs.

I said this ,first is she getting fuel.Have you taking the plugs out yet. Watch for cross threading , easy done
