I do want a blanking plate for mine, always forget it though. Does it improve things in your case?

Gazza 1701a was the person who suggested it and he has found it to be a small improvement. Having driven his car it does seem to pick up better.

Does anyone know what else you need to remove & or blank off ? Specifically the pipe that goes to the bulk head & disappears under the scuttle cover into a flying saucer shaped thing then changes pipe colour & carries on into under the drivers side wing ?

Leave that pipe to the carbon cannister alone. That should still stay connected to the throttle body to deal with fuel vapour.

To do the EGR,

All you need is..

1 - fabricate a steel blanking plate.
2 - get an EGR valve gasket. (Or a piece of cereal packet / cardboard document folder)
3 - plug the pipe that goes between the throttle body and the EGR valve.

That's it.
