cav gsi immobiliser problem???

Post by J70HAD »

Hi guys been having a few problems when starting the cav basically turn the key if the management light comes on it will start perfectly but its very random if or when it comes on.
I find my self getting in and out locking unlocking turning ignition back and for just in the hope it will come on (which it does let it be eventually)

I’m thinking it’s an immobiliser problem but if any one can help me or have had the same kind of problem please could you let me know and I would be very grateful.

(Also it has a toad alarm but that seems to be working absolutely fine?)

I had this problem. Turned out to be a faulty fuel pump relay.

I was going to say the same as fuel pump relay.
Had the same problem with the fuel pump relay on my old Astra GSi, Usually happened when the engine was warm. Cold starting was fine.
