Has any one fitted aircon from a donor vauxhall mk3 ..?

I'm checking if it's worth the effort / suggestions. Perhaps there's any existing topic on this...

Would any one know the components that would be required?

This would be fitting into either my mk3 Cav Turbo or Gsi's ...

The hardest part will be finding the parts.

Air con was fitted to both the GSI and the Turbo as an option and made standard equipment late in the Turbo's life.
So parts do exist, just finding a donor vehicle will be very difficult and you're not likely to find all the parts you'll need new.

You could try and find a system from a CDX or Diplomat.
However, I'm not sure if a setup from an c20ne/20ne, X20XEV or c25xe will fit in with the c20xe or c20let engine that's the thing.

Thanks James.

I do have some bits that I've collected over the years, but no way complete

I'll do some further research on this ...

There are specialist companies that do this sort of thing.
I would imagine it would be very expensive but it may be a better alternative in the long run considering it will be an all new system.

There was a mk3 astra in a breakers here in Glasgow area with air con, strange to see in what looked like a base model. If you happen to be in that area might be worth checking if still there.

You'd need air box, compressor (with any brackets to hang it plus drivebelt), pipes, switches and wiring looms, and relays etc.
