WHICH WATER PUMP?

Post by Pootz »

So I've been told that my water pump may have caused the timing belt problems with my car but which one do i need as there are 2 showing up on euro car parts and both look different to each other

It's a 2 litre 16 valve ecotec engine 1994 cavalier

Thanks in advance

They look like very similar parts to me.
Just one of them is upside down.

They look similar but the one on the bottom looks slightly offset

Not 100% sure but I think the bottom one. I seem to remember it was offset and the bottom one's showing a lug that I do remember, it fits between two notches on the casing.
best bet is to check your engine number(log book's easiest) against the fitment details on ecp.
Bottom one's from engine no. 14142839 onwards
" It's not rust. It's age-related patina " ;)

1980 vauxhall cavalier MK1 1.6L, 1982 opel manta berlinetta 1.8s, 1985 opel manta 2.0 gte, 1990 cavalier 2.0 gl ,1994 cavalier sri x20xev

-1995 cdx x20xev
