Apparently the clutch cable adjustment has been adjusted to its maximum and just after a clutch was replaced, the input shaft slipped as it wasn’t all the way in after the clutch was replaced, the mechanic believes something may be amiss with the box.
No iron filings in oil etc, so I don’t know.
Apparently this will go in, but it has no inspection hatch for the clutch.

Any thoughts?
Symptoms of my gearbox
Re: Symptoms of my gearbox
Hmm - I don't know much about the F15 box..
The deciding factor is the flywheel, output shaft and clutch sizes.
If they are all the same, then it should be a goer.
Not sure if the F15 is a "small block" gearbox for the earlier, smaller family 1 engines. (Cav mk2, Astra mk3, Nova).
If yours is a later model Cavalier, then you would have a larger block family 2 engine.

Re: Symptoms of my gearbox
The symptoms are for the F13 box, sorry.
I’ve bought the F15 and the guy selling it spoke to the garage and all seems like it will work.
My Cav is just on that transition period you mention, reg: M583 XBW
