Water Pump
Please,could anyone tell me the torque setting on a water pump for Cav TDI and is there a sequence for tightening up the bolts.Should I also use gasket sealant with the paper gasket.

Instructions on TIS are.
Coat sealing surface with silicon grease.
(Not sealant)
Part number - 19 70 206 (90 167 353)
Fasten coolant pump with new seal ring
Tighten bolts to 25 Nm or 18 lb. ft.
On 17DR install toothed belt roller and tighten at 25 Nm or 18 lb. ft.

That is my pleasure - the metion of paper gasket seems odd though.
According to TIS, it is a rubber O ring like you would find on the petrol engines. - but it clearly mentions D and DR engine codes.
It is the water pump that you are asking about?
Not diesel or vacuum pump...
