Had an average night tonight of Suicide Silence, Rasmus, Machine Head, Bury Tomorrow, etc. Basically I'm into most types of rock.

Bob Marley is great music for driving to. Currently 'Natural Mystic.' Album.

Otherwise, Jethro Tull, Blythe Power, Prog Rock and Alt Country. The Blues, too, but is usually a slowing influence.

My formative teenage years were the 80s.

I listened to almost anything calles New Wave or New Romantic back then.

I never wore the make-up, but did wear a few odd outfits.

Nowadays, I am happy with anything that is not to repetitive or angst laden like all this post 2000 rubbish.

General play list includes.
Moby - Lift me up.
Faithless - God is a DJ, Insomnia...
Paul Weller - Brand new start.
Simple Minds - The live stuff upto 1983.
Bob Marley - almost any of his stuff.
Kraftwerk - all their big hits.
Metallica - One, Enter Sandman, Nothing else matters.
And even a bit of the older stuff like circa late 50s and early 60s.

My only proper dislikes are Opera, Classical, Jazz and Gangsta Rap, and whingy whiney modern pop by X-Factor / The Voice type artists.

To be honest - I often just turn the car radio off and drive to the hum of the engine and the rattles of the cat heat shield, door plungers, sunroof blind and anything else you find on a tired 24 year old car.

I know that soundtrack well! Especially the sunroof blind!

I still listen to allot of 80s stuff too, simple minds included.
I have been listening to Paul Simon's Graceland, Billy Joel and The first Travelling Wilburys album allot recently though. I'm also a fan of some of the 1950's classic singers like Matt Monro and Roy Orbison.

That's weird, I always figured you for a hardcore death metal fan James.. Guess I was wrong.. :p

You never know...
Wolf in sheep's clothing.
:p

This could just be his 'public persona'.

As someone who works for the heritage industry and frequently does things in front of the public that's not too far away from the truth!

Now I know your all going to think I'm mad, but I have just come back from Jersey where we went for the Battle of Flowers event.
Loads of floats all decorated up and amoungst the displays were a 'Batala' band strumming out a reggae samba rythym.
Absolutely fantastic, most addictive!

No, fraid not mate, sorry to disappoint :p

I did once strain my neck for a few days after attempting some furious headbanging to Suicide Silence - Disengage while pretty drunk, was good fun.
