I need a set of cavalier springs to put my car through the test, its currently on 60mm corsa springs that just isnt going to cut it lol.
But have been ringin around and my only option is to pay £80 for a set, is there a cheaper way? Maby another original vauxhall spring that will be enough to get it tested? The older astra maby?
Cheers for any feed back!
Springs for MOT
Re: Springs for MOT
Dunno why the Corsa springs would not pass, loads of guys on here with them in place...
Otherwise I believe mk3 astra, calibra springs will fit...If you insist on putting stock springs back on it then head off to the breakers, if its just the rears they are a piece of p*ss to remove..

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Re: Springs for MOT
Mine passed it a few month back. Mot man didnt even mention them
Re: Springs for MOT
As long as the spring is secure and not too low so the car fouls the body then it should pass. If the springs are so low they dislocate easy, USe cable ties to secure them.
Re: Springs for MOT
The back two are secure anyway, guna give it a go and hope for the best
Cheers for that guys

Re: Springs for MOT
Let us know how you get on. As Terry says, if they don't cause the wheels to foul the bodywork and are held in place securely then you should be fine for an MOT.
