is it possible to do away with conventional cavalier struts (ones that dont split) and replave them with mk4 astra ones then i can go for coilovers lol or is this not possible.

the steering rack mounts in a completely different place, so it wouldnt be a easy job, but as people have prooven in the past, anything is possible its whether the job is worth the money and time to be done

Or you could save ya money an buy a set of coil overs made for a cav they are available yes they're expensive but they are out there :thumb

i have looked for coilys but f**k me there expensive i wonder if i can get custom lowering springs that are lower than 60s cos that is all i can find for a cav.

Just bear in mind if you go lower than -60 you will more than likely start having problems that will keep happening and keep costing you money like breaking drive shafts track rod ends possibly even wishbones not just that I reckon the ride will be pretty harsh to fella :thumb

why would you want to go lower than 60?? mine is 60 and i have to be carefull if i open my door near i high kerb :lol: not to mention speed bumps are a right pain in the a***

I've dropped mine 40mm on mk3 astra springs and that is low enough with speed bumps about i wouldn't go much lower as the wishbones are sitting flat and i always use that as a guide for the limits to stop things breaking like driveshafts and track rod ends etc

oh dear lol that will be why the corsa b ones didnt work i think i will be buying cav 60s mine is currently sitting permantly on the bump stops i think because it really is bouncy i will put a picture up on the other post with the damage that was done by fitting corsa 60s

mines dropped 60mm all round on propper cav springs but i am on 18s so dont catch speed bumps tha much :lol:

my 4 branch is abit close at some times tho :wall
