Hello all right I want to lower the CAV but how low shal I go lol, want it to look nice I seen 35mm and 50mm springs has anyone got any recomendstions, and am I right to believe that all I be needing is the springs to lower my car, the car has 15" Tsw sealths, I don't have a system and the boot is empty so no extra weight so any recommendations I want a nice ride to the budget is really tite ( yes can't have it all ) so something less than £70-80 to make her look nice thanks guys or if you guys have some lowering springs lying about you want to get rid off or sell I'm here

Buy eibach 35mm springs and stick to a large tyre. 195/60/15 (the set up on my td) comfy springs and you can take roundabouts faster than most drivers. (well with good tyres you can) handling is as much on the tyre as it is with the spring. I use continental eco. Done around 30k miles so far. My old yokohama where Really good...... But lasted about 5k

My v6 is really low. And has smaller tyres. But not as comfy for daily use.

I see so not to go any higher than 35mm for a better ride I seen some 40mm, would 35mm look low and nice or would it still be high I'm running 195/50/R15 thanks guys

Thinking of going for 40mm with my 195/50/r15 would this be ok for driving aswell

The car is cavalier L 1.8, got a low budget saw some 40mm on eBay for £74.00

Your car looks high as your tyres are wrong size. You need 60 not 50 profile. Cheap springs will be crap

Silver is 35mm eibach on 60 profiles. Green is standard ride hight.

Looks nice on the 35mm, I think il wait to get better springs not the eBay job lol thanks again guys for your help

Eibach springs are top quality and offer a 35mm drop in ride height.

Eibach are also expensive!!

However I am sure they are better than the budget alternative, I am running -40mm Gmax on mine and to say the ride is harsh would be an understatement however I had to put on the shortened shocks as the -40mm springs were killing gas shocks quickly with a set of Monroe Gas Sport shocks only lasting a year!

50 profile is lower than 60, it's a percentage of the width.

What are some reasonable budget dampers/shocks to go with 35mm drop springs? Can standard shocks handle this drop?

Run my eibach on Bilstien b4.s . £ 45 for front and £ 35 for backs.

Standard shocks will cope but they might not be that good if u have passengers in the rear
