Length of rear brake pipes?

Post by cavalier1990 »

Has anyone happen to have the length of copper pipe for the rear brakes from flexi to backplate? I accidentally binned mine so don't have template to make them up.

Assuming all cavies with solid rear axle are the same length would imagine.

Cheers

I couldn't tell you the length, but if you still have the brake pipe from other side, get a piece of string and trace the pipe then measure that and add a little for the forming of nipples and it should be close enough!

Don't have any of the old pipes, but thinking of doing what you said but with an old bit of spare copper brake pipe, might just be long enough to make up , just can't make ends as don't have tool yet (xmas!).

For info both back brake pipes are approx. 30" in length. I got mine 32" and are a bit oversize so 30 should be fine.
