Is this safe?

Post by jambo_sri130 »

Is it safe to remove the rear suspension spring rubber seats in order to lose some height? I been told buy a guy that he done it and had no problems but I'm still a little wary. Does anyone else know if it's ok or not?

safe yea, but it will vibrate nicely through the car, its not really worth it as you wont notice any difference in ride height unless you use a ruler.

Actually noticed quite a difference mate. Removed them yesterday as I had hee haw else to do. Now sits exactly where I want it to, rear tyres level with the arch. However, if it proves to be too noisy they will be goin back in and I'll be lookin for some nova or corsa ones

surely in a cav nova/corsa springs is a bad idea due to the large weight differences?

heard of people running 60mm nova / corsa rear springs , but when i tried some corsa springs the pig tail on the spring wouldnt fit on the spring locating part on the beam , just sat on it rather than over it :o .

Yeah apparently you gotta cut the pig tail off and I really can't be arsed with that. Anyway here's a pic or two of how she sits now.

Just how I want her at the back but need a pair of -60mm springs back on the front and do my white wheels thing and she'll be lookin like this. I love photoshop lol
