steering vibration

Post by Squig »

took the cav home on the motorway this evening and noticed something strange... between 70 and 100 I had wheel wobble but not on the recently resurfaced section.
Just refitted the alloys on new Continental ContactSport 1s (very nice tyre for the price I paid, very grippy and the ABS activates under fiercer braking), and the other thing is that the slight pull to the left has gone.
Any suggestions before I start hunting?

If the wheels are balanced, next stop is bearings.

Ive had all sorts of issues reacently i changed my bearings and there was slight play in the hub, which in hindsight killed the bearings off, 2 new hubs and there is no vibration

Could always be the tyre type doesnt like rough roads and transmits it through the wheels, what tyre pressures are you running

I found my car understeered more and felt less stable.

The whole tyre pressure thing is a can of worms but i set mine to 33ish
