Post by btcctroy »

i have been thinking bout this over and over.

to me the vectra rear floor pan looks as if it would fit in place of the cavs. i want mine to handle better and drive better also do something no1 has ever done before.

both cavs and vectra fuel tanks are in same place rear seat bases are simular, spare wheel is in same spot, rear hubs brake assembly compatable

Alot of measuring thats for sure. Certainly not for the faint hearted. Good luck with it though.

The GSI petrol tank is way out the back of the car under the raised boot floor, to get all the irs stuff in.

There is no point cutting up a cav gsi when I could replace mine for one. There are a lot of vectras about so would be easy to find all the bits. The vectra irs is better than the cav.

 There both completely useless! If i were going to fit any floor pan i would be going for something totally differant like VW/Subaru/Toyota etc...

Oh and a cav IRS rear subframe will actually bolt upto a vectra rear floor, i have seen it done before on the net, think it was on migweb.
