How2 - Removal of glovebox

Post by Lowrider Dave »

This is just a guide, so usual caveats apply. ie. You manage to cock it up, that’s your fault not mine.

Sitting in the passenger seat - here it is in all it’s preformed plasticy goodness.

First step is to remove the upper cubby hole facia. This is held on by a series of loops that slot over locating lugs. Try a small flat bladed screwdriver to carefully prise each loop of it's lug.

With that off, you can now remove four screws that hold the glovebox in place. Two located at the top and two at the bottom. The bottom ones are near the hinge - these can be a little awkward to access, so use a long screwdriver.

Close glovebox and carefully withdrawn the entire unit - but! - note the interior light for the glovebox is attached to the loom - remove the connector or from inside the glovebox unclip the light and post it through the hole.

For reference - the way the wires attached.
