Distinct lack of cake discussion?

Mk3 Cavalier fans are known to love a slab of cake and a cup of tea from time to time. Oh, and biscuits!

Distinct lack of cake discussion?

Post by planetc »

What is going on? I've been absent a while and the forum has started discussing car related topics and there's not one new cake item since my last visit?!

Welcome back!

It's true, there has been a distinct lack of baked confection related topics lately.

Well had my daily dose of cake today at least. Lovely bit of Uncles 80th birthday cake it was; 3 layers of Chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream in-between, toped with military green icing.

Buddy? Fu** me I never thought I'd hear that from you Andrei! Long story involving brain surgery and lots of other things going on in my life that don't involve cars. Glad to see you came back to the fold too.

ps- hot air intake pipe on a carb engine is a good thing in winter as the cold air can cause the fuel to freeze in the carb jet

Well we all live to fight another day...

Glad to hear you're ok, and sorry to hear the troubles you've had.

Best regards.

To be honest Andrei - even I didn't know much about Paul's illness until about 10 days ago.
Paul obviously is one of those that doesn't make a fuss...

But we are all glad to have the dear chap back again.

The other Cake person is Troy, however due to problems with the site no longer using Tapatalk, he doesn't visit very often.
I do keep the cake and biscuit theme going off site though, as I like to keep my Cav restorer stocked up on scoobie snacks from time to time.
