The value of a biscuit

Mk3 Cavalier fans are known to love a slab of cake and a cup of tea from time to time. Oh, and biscuits!

The value of a biscuit

Post by planetc »

To avoid messing up Dans work in progress thread I have separated this.

I can't believe that anybody could consider a 'jammy dodger' as more valuable than a custard cream? I know the mother of all biscuits has to be the chocolate hob nob and a jammy dodger has it's place fairly high in the league table but to consider it even close to a custard cream is utter madness.

How do you value your biscuits?

Agreed the choc hob nob is the mother of all biscuits, but I rate choc malted milks aswell.

All down to personal preference I suppose

I would agree that a jamie dodger is way higher up the list than a custard cream all day long on taste but if were were talking value for money then it would clearly be the custard cream.

BUT

For me it has to be either Bourbons or these bad boys from sainsburys!

Don't recall ever seeing one of those.... maybe it's a northern thing? Looks like a dodger with the sides squared off so they get more biscuits out of a batch of dough.

Proper shortcake takes some beating, especially when layered with strawberries and cream. Shorties are not in the same tax bracket in any way or form though.

You lot need to get out more

But while we're on topic, I like my plain digestives with tea, and I also like custard creams. It is just personal preference.

Yes mr cavalier i'm pretty sure we could post anything up here and nothing would be any sadder than building a fake road and pretending to drive down it...

And everyone appreciates a good biscuit, me and gaz used to have many conversations about the quality of biscuits at work, infact we even did a bourbon taste test between the differant budget brands, tesco, morrisons, asda lol I think asda won it actually.

They do if you throw em hard enough.

Back on topic:

Choc hob nobs are the daddy! but I always end up choking on a bit.
Jammy dodgers are for kids and shouldnt even be considered for dunking into a brew.
Custard creams reign a close second in my book, followed by bourbons.

We had these in Swindon when i was younger... I can still remember the rather annoying theme tune :(

I am a fan of custard creams, but choccy digestives are sneaking in!!! Pink waffers are awsome!!!

Viscount would be my number 1!!! (not sure if others would class them as a biscuit though...)

Sad that I know about aircraft, the revolution that changed the world, don't think so. You're sad talking about biscuits.
