and if so how did they do it?
and if so how did they do it?
Re: re-covering cavy door cards
cut a wood/hard board template, cut holes in it put tie wraps through, add foam to front and re trim that then fit to original door card. leave over lap material to lose into door pocket part. easy mate

Re: re-covering cavy door cards
I did mine in my mk3 Astra with a fabric paint to match the paint colour of the car, really easy but don't use the spray on stuff as it dries hard...If you go this route find a arts and crafts shop and buy the proper material paint and a decent brush.
Don't have any pics im afraid but looked alright for a budget job..

Free Parking is a bonus, leaving my Cav in a carbon dust filled carpark is not.....

Re: re-covering cavy door cards
I think the idea is that you make a panel to follow the shape of the original fabric using thin board, and cover that. Then you can fix it to the original door card.loopylees69 wrote:So you have just stuck that on top of the original fabric???

yup I did the same thing only I use small screws instead of the cable ties, however that sounds like the better idea!planetc wrote:I think the idea is that you make a panel to follow the shape of the original fabric using thin board, and cover that.
