spark plug cover 16v

hello people ive just sprayed my plug cover with high temp paint ,once ive rubbed it back do i use normal laquer or something else as i'm a sausage and ain't got a clue lol ,any ideas or help would be much appreciated cheers foxy

i dont think it would be to wise to use lacquer as its bound to get real hot under the hood.

yeah just high temp paint will do,avold using laquer under the bonnet
Drives a 1989 Mk3 cav sri 2.0 8v SEH

As rich said no laquer under the bonnet as it tends to take on dirt when warm

it didn't work chaps the paint started cracking on warm up ,, :cry: anyway i've stripped it back and polished it right up it looks better than i thought so i'm well happy with it,,,foxy

essentially the same process high temp paint after prepping...

Look at my engine bays . I've just used normal paint and laqure n them with no problems, and the v6 is a hotty!

I used enamel on my rocker cover (ecotec) and once hammerited (smooth, spray can) the spark plug cover. Did this on an XE spark plug cover too for a mate.

Just stinks a little bit while the paint goes off when it gets warm but soon diappears after a couple of days.

Dont use Laquar, as when the engine bay gets hot, it goes soft and all the grit and much sticks to it! :x
