Windscreen Removal

Post by Redorado »

Just wondering does anyone have any tips on removing a windscreen? i'd like to attempt to keep the rubbers in tacked but if there only cheap to replace i'd get new ones of them.

I've not checked the haynes yet on the windscreen removel but unsure if that would actually cover that aspect.

Thanks

Mark.

tbh you need to cut it out, never had any success on getting them out whole, try the local breakers they tend to have a man with a van who will sort you out cheap

I took out my own back screen its glued in like the front screen. I bought the proper tool off ebay (about a fiver) and I found that it wos a easy job.

If your careful, you can get them out in one piece,
The trick is to get the right amount of pressure in the right place and don't hack at it with a stanley knife either.
Cheese wire does the job nicely.
