Looking for some advice on how to remove and replace the chrome insert strip that fits into the black body moulding on the doors and bumpers. Also would like to replace this chrome strip with red strip if available, so if anyone knows where to purchase would be obliged for any help. Have seen the red strip on the same colour of Cavaliers as mine (smoke grey) on this site and I think it looks good.

Re: Chrome insert strip
The chrome strip is actually a mounting plate for the rubber trim, there is a lot more to it than what you can see.
Any motor factors will be able to supply you with self adhesive trim tape in a variety of sizes & colours for you to try, incase you change your mind from red, the strips on the front bumper are removable with a bit of leverage and can be worked on a bench, which makes things easier.
Just make sure surfaces are clean and dry, use a degreaser.
