Anyone had experience if this universal size cover fits?

Post by ed2 »

My CDX is sorn under a tree so i had better use a car cover. But I find the universal size of car cover i get told to use on my 95 cav cdx hatch ecotec is:-

480 (L) x 175 (W) x 120 (H).

The original VX manual supplied with the cav when new says the this Cav hatchback is:-

435.2 (L) x 187.6 (W) x 140 (H).

Anyone had experience of whether these cheap aftermarket covers flex so i can make it fit ?
Thanks

I have been using a 'large' sized cover from Halfords which I have found fits my saloon quite well.
About £65 I think.

ditto that.
had a (L) one from halfords, perfect fit on a saloon and seems fine on the hatch too. elastic bit goes round the front well and I use some clamps on the back bumper bottom lip to stop it blowing away.
now have a (L) one from Lidl too which is better than the cheapest one from Halfords. the foil coloured ones from halfords seem better quality though, but are more dollar

the UV gets em all in the end though and they rip easily then, unless you spend more than the car is worth on a cover like..
