Gsi/Sri bumper strip swap

Got a gsi bumper off a cav I'm breaking, but the car I'm fitting it to has the red Sri bump strips all round. Looking to see if I could take the gsi bumper apart and fit the Sri bump strips onto the lower part of the gsi bumper?

the sri/dippy cdx style red or silver trim strips with the separate moulded ends don't fit on the gsi/turbo bumpers, tried that on mine. they have a black edge to them that kinda tucks over the bumper cover and there's no room for them on the turbo type, the plastic is like too thick.
on mine i bough 9?mm self adhesive chrome strip that matched the door bump strips and stuck that on and made ends for them.

You could swap the door mouldings for plain black ones, it wouldn't look right with a gsi bumper and red stripe in my opinion
