What seats fit into a Cavalier?
I want to add some comfortable supportive seats in the Cavalier. Any suggests for what has been done or what could meet my requirements? All ideas welcome.

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
Front seats: pretty much anything (if you're prepared to weld the frames to the Cavalier's seat rails).
OEM+ would be to fit Cavalier Turbo Recaro leather fronts with V6 CDX leather rears (Turbo rears won't fit your car).
Gaz had some really nice Alfa seats in his red saloon, although I fail to remember what he did with the rears. I'll have a look through his project thread.
What's your budget?

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
At the moment I'm collating information so when the time is right, I can move forwards and work on the red Cav (Pedro).
I'd like to avoid welding frames if possible, but if the right seats (ie. good for my back, etc) required it then I would. At my age, it's more about comfort than looks! Price wise, a rough figure of £500 would be not unexpected, possible more to get upholstering done.
Perhaps I should look at Turbo Recaros to see if they are comfortable. Now, who has some for me to sit on and try out!

Have you thought about genuine recaro seats. Some are really nice

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
something like this perhaps!
has a retro look that could work well with a cavalier.
it depends what style seats you'd like

^^^ other than the mesh-filled headrests, alcantara finish and the bulky bases, those are almost identical to Cavalier Turbo seats (which are also genuine Recaros)

Perhaps I should be looking for Cavalier Turbo seats to try out before looking at other options.

I could be persuaded to sell my spare set of front seats to you, Dave. I'd need to keep the rears (they won't fit your car anyway), and you'll need the passenger's seat lower frame from the seats coming out of your car (Turbo passenger rails are designed to accommodate change in transmission tunnel/exhaust design), but let me know if you're interested.

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
Yes that would look good. My main consideration is my back and my height, I seem to have trouble fitting in seats comfortably. They start by being comfortable then 10 miles later my lumbar aches or the angle of my arms is wrong.btcctroy wrote:something like this perhaps!

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
I see a number of Zafira seats available of ebay and they look supportive - I wonder if they'll fit...perhaps just a set cav or cali turbo recaros is the way to go.

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
Unsure but I have read it does require cutting and drilling, so I doubt it's a straight swap.graham8v wrote:Would vectra b gsi seats bolts onto cavalier subframes/ rails?

Re: What seats fit into a Cavalier?
Thanks. Currently looking at getting either Cav SRI or Turbo seats and re-trimming as required.
