Vauxhall illuminated key blanks

Apologies but I was not sure where to post this item and just hope that someone that sees it can help.

Does anyone know where I can get an illuminated key blank for my 1993 LS 2.0 Auto? The switch in mine is very poor and the light only works when it feels like it. My local lock shop can cut it to my key but they can only supply a blank that does not have a light in it.

Any help would be gratefully received.

The part number is long since obsolete.

However feel free to search any of the heritage / specialist Vauxhall sites.

Try getting a new lockset?

I managed to get an illuminated key last year at Billing. It came as part of a replacsment lock set. Bit of a faff just for an illuminated key (I had other reasons to change the locks anyway), but only cost me £30..

Now that I have the part number I will see if friends in Germany and Australia can assist. I will let the Forum know the outcome.

Just a thought, has anyone tried to adapt the keyless locking system from a post 95 Vectra?
