It's been a while but I don't think you need to - only the fronts need any drilling

I'm sure they just clamp around the forward lip of the rear bumper
I'm not sure what you've got there but bear in mind I'm talking about OE kit

I'll nip outside and take a look

It's a bit murky out there and difficult to even get my fingers in for a feel with the tyres in the way but the rears appear to be held on by a couple of small g-clamp type fittings; the fitting sandwiches the lip of the rear bumper and the mudflap and the bolt tightens them together, holding the mudflap in place. Two g-clamps per side.

There are 2 types of fitting for rear mud flaps.
Most have the clamps as you explained Colin.
However there are some which just screw into the bumper itself. My CD manual had a set when I bought it.
There is no drilling required, they should just come with some self tapping screws. All you need to do is line them up and start screwing it's that simple. Just make absolutely sure the mud flaps are lined up straight before you start.
