I have this 1986 convertible with only 7,000 miles on it so it is completely original.
Can anyone tell me the official or the best way to get the roof down and fit the cover.
I have only owned the car since November and today was my first and unsuccessful attempt.
I managed to drop the roof into the area behind the rear seat but it seems to stick up too far to fit the cover.
The press studs behind the rear seat were closed but I could not get the horizontal hooks at the rear to engage.
Altough the Car appears to have come with all of the original documents, nothing mentions the roof.
Any ideas or suggestions would be gratefully received.
Thanks for looking.
