Panel recommendations

Post by James McGrath »

I'm about to buy some rear wheel arch panels for the Diplomat.

I wondered if anyone could recommend me a good brand that still makes them.

Klokkerholme is one of this biggest panel manufacturers.
However they come from Holland, so there can often be a bit of a wait for the next shipment.

My chassis rails looked like the dogs danglies, so at that time, they were worth the wait.

I ordered my parts via Carz2.

My outer arches were "Uni-part" items, which needed a bit of cutting and shutting to make a tidy fit.
I was also advised that the Uni-part steel quality was not particularly fantastic.

Some odd panels are still available from old stock via GPS - they just need a bit of hunting down ... my original gm rear valance was spot on and quite cheap.

This is a link to an Imperial panel via carz2

There are two sections to Carz2.
Restoration panels, and Accident Crash Repair panels.

There are a lot more parts in the restoration section.
