A pillar trim

Post by 3cav3 »

Hi does anyone know how the A pillar trims are held in place? Are they difficult to remove?

They are just clipped to the metalwork, I think 4 plastic clips inside the trim, they just pull off and snap back on again. Start at the top edge and carefully prise it off, following down the trim until all clips are out. You'll need to adjust the door seals where they meet the A pillar when re-fitting the trims.

Am I a light sleeper or a heavy sleeper? Well that depends on how much I've had to drink...

They are little plastic clips, no 3 trim here.

Be aware they break easily. The best way to get these off is to pull at each side equally firstly at the top then middle then bottom, if you can get your hand in there. While you are doing this use a long driver down the top once you get the top out a bit and gently use this to assist in pulling it outwards.

Granted you probably will break one or two of them, they are very brittle.

Take care though as they are no longer available if you lose or break any.
