Removing stripes off rubstrips at sides and bumpers?

Post by GP123 »

Hi all,

Want to get my stripes done red on the rub strips at the sides, front bumper and rear bumper.. can these be removed all round? or is it only the front and back that can be removed?

Any tips on how to go about doing it.. the back and front bumpers seem to have ends which look removable, but which way do they come off without breaking them etc?

Thanks for any help! :)

From memory, the red part of the side rub strips cannot be separated from the black part.

The bumpers have little caps that can be unclipped from the bumper skin.
I am sure the end pieces just clip into place.
I presume you will be taking the bumper off the car to do this.

If you look from inside the skin, you will probably be able to see how the end clips are fitted, and so how they can be undone.
