Seat belt pre-tensioners

Post by iangsi »

As above can they be reset as I have an height adjustable seat frame & the pre-tensioner has fire while in storage after the little red tag fell out ?

Nope, once they have fired, they are bin fodder.

The cartridges are easily replaced.
Just riveted to the seat rail.

The buckle receiver is bolted to the seat rail.

And a zip-tie under the seat section to secure the actuation cable in place.

So the whole tensioner assembly can be swapped between seats if necessary.

I did this when replacing my LS seats with SRi units.
