Is this the correct way to repair the Cavalier filler! (Looks like it 'was' a SRi)

In the Cavalier world (UK), we would disconnect the filler from the wing. And cover the filler and tank with fire blankets.

That is the Vectra-A GT method. :p
Quicker but less effective.
