Are all Cav bodies the same?

I want replacement wings/bonnet for the V6 - are they any different from other cavs, or can I just take one from any old one from the scrappies?

Prefacelift and facelift is the only difference on cav front ends.

wings are the same, i *think* the bonnets are different pre/post facelift in that the position of the badge changed so you might have a recess for it on the bonnet of the pre facelift, whereas the facelift badge was part of the grille. any cavalier bonnet will fit any other cavalier, the dimensions and fitting is the same.

Thanks, as my badge is on the grill and an M reg it must be a facelift model. I'll keep an eye out for a bonnet and wings!

a prefacelift bonnet will fit, if you dont want the additional badge then you could swap the grille to prefacelift too but you'd need to change headlights to prefacelift for a snug fit.

For some reason I've never managed to get a nice flush fit with the indicators going facelift to pre. Must try harder.

indicators are different shape as well iirc

grill,headlights and indicators and bonnet are different,face lift stuff has no badge on bonnet and angled headlights and indicators,also rear lights are different,facelift are the bubble type like the turbo but with horrible orange filaments instead of tinted for the indicators.

prefacelift stuff is flat like the cav gsi with bagde on bonnet.
