Have a standart 8 valver 2.0 saloon 1993 my
I have bare door mouldings and bare skirts of Gsi
What do I need for trouble free-long term performance installation
really dont want to go a welder and make rust friendlyy pins on:( any other way?
Sticking clips on body then wear the skirts

I know some people on here bonded the skirts on using a strong adhesive. The proper way to do it is with clips and rivets but bonding should work if you hold it on tight enough.

the only sure fire way to ensure longevity is to do it properly, with rivets and the proper clips (which are still available from the parts desk as they're used on later cars too).

Agreed. At the end of the day - if it's done well, then it shouldn't become an issue.
