So um,

I have the 1.6 liter vectra a.

My gauges looks like this.

It has no RPM. I was wondering if I can fit in another gauge cluster that has RPMs like this one.

Is it possible? Did anyone do it before? Do I need to rewire stuff or does it plug in right away?

Thanks a lot

The cluster with rev counter wil indeed fit and work fine.

I would recommendremoving the speedo head from your old cluster and fit it into the new one.

If your dash wiring loom does not have the green tachometer wire, it would be easy enough to feed a wire from the little square connectors behind the right side kick panel.

There will only be one green wire down there. And that is the tacho pulse wire.

Connect the other end to the correct terminal on your cluster.

Job done.

Thanks a lot for your reply, I though have a couple of question. Forgive me I am a total noob.

- What do you mean by the "speedo head"?
- Where are exactly the "square connectors"?
- Is there a tutorial on how to remove the cluster? Like where are the bolts that need to be undone to take the cluster out.

Thanks.

Hmm I am sure I did a How 2 for cluster removal.

The speedo head is the big central gauge that indicates your road speed.
I recommended that you swapped it over so that the correct mileage is also there.

The square connectors are three quite small connectors in a row attached to the front of the central door locking module.
This is below the engine ECU... behind the right side kick panel.
UK driver's side.
Non UK passenger side.

Well I get your point. Thanks a lot for the topic.

I'll search for the square connectors and also try to find a cluster :D

Thanks.
